Teeth, Who needs 'em anyway?

Guess who lost his first tooth, at the tender age of 4 and half? Grayson has had a loose tooth for several weeks now. He spent the night at mom's on Friday night and when he woke up it was gone. Where o' where did it go, nobody knows. However, he is certain the tooth fairy will find it and leave him some money anyway. It also makes a nice spot to place a straw or a french fry as well, as you can see from the above photos. His tongue can't seem to stay away from the empty space either. He is so excited, he jumps up and down when he discusses it with anybody. Too cute. He makes us laugh. I guess that is better than making us cry!

You scream, I scream, we all scream for snow cream!

We have a very-rarely-seen snow day today. The schools have been canceled and everybody on our street was outside, first thing this morning, with all the kids (and adults) still in their PJ's. So of course we had to take pictures! My great next-door-neighbor Jennie, took some of these photos for us this morning. Thanks Jennie for sharing. It is a very wet icy snow, so the kids had to change clothes a couple of times. Finley was amazed at all this beautiful substance falling from the heavens. She just kept squealing and running. Grayson stayed out for a very long time, making sure to eat plenty snow before making the leftovers into snowballs to throw at the neighbor kids. He and our fantastic next-door-neighbor, Delaney, came in to warm up, ate a warm snack, played a game and then ventured back out in the cold into the backyard. Check out Grayson's Snow Angel. He said he "waited his whole life to make one of those." It was then Finley's nap time, so the kids went home for lunch and we will do it all again this afternoon. Hum, maybe we will have snow cream for lunch.

No More Bathroom Breaks!!

Ever wonder what your kids are doing when you are not looking? Well today, when Grayson was at school, I left the room for maybe a minute and a half to go to the bathroom. When I returned, Finley was not there. The above pictures tell it all. She was found in her bedroom where, she had managed to climb in her rocker, find her powder and empty it. In a minute and a half! All I can say about the girl is she is very fast and efficient.
