It's all Relative

My mom's brother (affectionately known as Uncle Darrel) and his friend Ms. Marty came this week to visit. We had a great time. He fixed several things around the house off of my Honey-Do-List. Thanks so much, we really appreciate it. We laughed and talked and did a little site seeing. Ms. Marty also painted some pictures for the kid's rooms. We have never had a chance to "commission" any art work before. We are very fortunate that she is such a talented (and generous) artist. Thanks, Ms. Marty. We love them! They left early this morning (after hot Krispy Kremes of course), and we miss them already. Hope we see you all this summer. Thanks for everything.

My Little Cupcake

We have had company this past week and weekend so I was making a couple of desserts for them to have this week. Finley was home, so I put her in her high chair and let her "help" me by licking the beaters and spoons. She kept saying "Yum, Yum", which is a favorite word of hers lately. I guess the girl likes cake and definitely LOVES the frosting!
