Smile for the Camera
What's the difference between getting two very busy kids to sit still, change clothes twice, smile and pose and pulling teeth? They are both difficult, but at least you get drugs with pulling teeth!! Wheww. What a chore. Mom and I took Grayson and Finley for pictures this morning. Thank goodness I had a helper. Thanks mom. These are Grayson's 5 year old photos and Finley's 18 month photos. It is never easy with my two children. Both running in different directions. I am almost certain of the careers they will choose when they are older: Grayson will be a demolition man and Finley will be a track star!!

Birthday Bash
We attended yet another birthday party Saturday morning for our next-door-neighbor Mark. He is now a big boy of age Four! It was at one of the kids favorite places, Jungle Rapids. All I can say is thank goodness it is indoors and air conditioned. You can see by the smiles on the kids faces that they really enjoyed themselves. Happy Birthday, Mark. Thanks for including us in your special day.

Born to Ride
Finally, no training wheels. I was beginning to think Grayson would be going off to middle school with his training wheels still on his bike. But for some reason today was the day. He was even the one who asked about taking them off. Shocking. Then he states "I must be out of my mind." But the look of determination on his face and the pride he felt,... well, priceless.

Wet and Wild
Wednesday was our play date for our MOPS group. Leslie was our host. (Thanks so much Les, we really enjoyed it) We had six moms and thirteen kids. Wow, that's a lot of kids for not many moms. What a great time they had playing outside in the water and eating Popsicles.

Remember the Lasts
This week has been full of lasts. I try to remember all of my children's lasts, as well as the firsts. They are, after all, milestones in their life's journey too. Our first last this week was 4 year old Preschool. It started with Finley and Trudy waving bye to him at the front door, like they do every time he leaves, and then me picking him up with his bag of goodies that was cleaned out of his locker. Some moms were so emotional as they were picking up their children, me, not so much (surprise, ha ha). All I was thinking was, in about 6 weeks, Kindergarten. Grayson is excited and of course that makes it easier on us.
Our second last, was our last Baseball Game. What a good season they had. Some out in the field looking at the airplanes going over, watching the birds, or digging in the dirt around the bases. Sort of like the Bad News Bears. I think they learned something about teams, sportsmanship and maybe a few rules of baseball and lots of laughs. A great learning experience, nonetheless. I am sure it was the first season of many to be spent at the ball park.

Party at the Park
There was a party at the park after Preschool Graduation. They sang a variety of songs for us, while wearing their Tie Dyed shirts that they made last week. They were supposed to be Red, White and Blue, but after washing them, they were all kind of Pink with Red and Blue spots!! Every child's was almost identical. Too funny. The park was very enjoyable, the kids had a blast, running around like crazy in their pink shirts. A wonderful way to wrap up the end of the year.
